Esports has rapidly emerged from the underground and is now hitting the masses. We are strengthening our team with an ambitious and growth oriented CCO

As CCO in Heroic, you will be part of our management team, working closely with our CEO and the rest of our executives, as well as our board of directors. You will be a key contributor in strategy development, be the overall responsible for developing key revenues streams, hereunder sponsorships, strategic partnerships, and product/service sales. Besides being an experienced professional within your field, you should be ambitious and growth oriented, with a clear commercial appetite set to lift Heroic to new levels. You are highly engaged in topline opportunities, have a strong appetite for landing deals, and enjoy building business relationships with senior decision makers. You are also a dedicated team player with passion for leadership, collaboration, and company culture. Backgrounds from esports or adjacent industries (media, traditional sports etc.) are considered positive, and experience from technology-centric business models is also an advantage. Most importantly we are looking for candidates with spike, ambition, and a genuine interest for esports and its underlying business drivers.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the overall sales and partnership agenda for Omaken Sports and its subsidiaries
  • Contribute to development of our strategy and value proposition
  • Define strategies for topline growth (new offerings, brand monetization, community, etc.)
  • Translate strategies into tangible business targets, budgets and plans
  • Build relationships with senior decision makers in large regional and international companies
  • Land scalable strategic partnerships with strong financial impact for Heroic
  • Develop and manage commercial agreements with key partners and sponsors
  • Implement best practice sales- and partner management processes
  • Expand the commercial function in line with business needs
  • Monitor, report, and challenge commercial performance

Academic and professional background


  • Master’s degree or MBA in business or engineering from top tier university with focus on business, sales, marketing or other related disciplines
  • Min. 7 years of working experience hereunder having held senior commercial roles in high-performance environments (ideally in international context)
  • Proven track record of building successful strategic partnerships
  • Experience from business development and strategy work


  • Esports or adjacent industry experience
  • Experience from working with large sponsorship agreements
  • Strong personal / professional network relevant for Omaken Sports
  • Experience from digital business channels (SoMe, streaming, e-commerce, data platforms, etc.)
  • Part of background in professional services e.g. management consulting or similar

  • Sales driven with strong urge to land the next large deal
  • Conceptual and strategic thinker with solid business understanding
  • Creative, energic, and motivating
  • Excellent communicator (oral and written)
  • Proven ability to establish successful business relationships on senior levels
  • Fluent in English, and experienced working in international environments
  • Excited about the growth, opportunities, and dynamics of the esports industry
