We are strengthening our team with a performance-oriented People and Talent Manager

As People and Talent Manager in Heroic, you will play a central role in building our organization, developing our people, and further shaping our culture. The candidate taking on this role will be key in attracting, motivating, and developing the most important asset in Heroic’s growth journey: Our current and future colleagues. Today our organization has ~40 employees in total with the admin team counting to ~20. We plan to extend our troops with around 10 new people this year, with additional hires following the pace of our expansion. We are looking for a committed individual with experience from HR roles with true passion for people and a motivation for contributing to a high-performance environment based on ambitious individuals, collaborative ways of working, booming industry dynamics, strong values, and high professionalism. You will primarily be working with the administration team, but there will also be tasks related to our athletes and performance teams e.g. in talent hunting and personnel support. Initially, the role will also involve assisting the management team in planning and coordination of their agenda. Experience from esports or adjacent industries (media, traditional sports etc.) is considered positive, but most importantly we are looking for a strong spark and genuine interest for the gaming and esports industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement people and talent strategies supporting the overall Heroic strategy
  • Contribute to building a positive and sustainable working environment and culture
  • Ensure strong link between all employees, by facilitating and maintaining open dialogue
  • Establish best practice HR systems and databases
  • Manage our recruitment, selection, and onboarding process
  • Manage payment plans and develop employee benefit programs
  • Ensure regulatory and legal compliance related to staff and workplace
  • Develop and facilitate relevant people development and training programs
  • Support employees in professional development, and assist in performance management
  • Help promote our staff and culture externally through SoMe and other relevant platforms
  • Assist management in planning and coordination of their agenda
  • Function as office manager, supporting with operational and administrative tasks

Academic and professional background


  • Higher education degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Min. 2 years of working experience as HR manager or similar role(s)


  • Esports or adjacent industry experience
  • Experience from working in growth environments
  • International working experience and interest

  • Performance driven, analytical, and metrics focused
  • Proactive in identifying issues and recommending solutions
  • Excellent listener, with strong integrity
  • Enjoys external communication and exposure
  • Competent in building interpersonal relationships across all levels

  • Fluent in English, and experienced working in international environments
  • Excited about the growth, opportunities, and dynamics of the esports industry
